The popping sound is usually gas releasing from a joint as pressure changes, this normaly signals the joint has been release or now it may be moving with more ROM.  The poping by itself it is not the goal and is not the treatment.  The popping is not a sign of damage either.  Some effective adjustments make noise and some do not, because the real objective is improved joint motion and reduced mechanical stress.  What matters for our the patients in Garland Tx. or anywhere in the world is whether pain is reduced or eliminated and the functional movement is restored or improved over a structured course of care.  It has little or nothing to do if the joint makes sound happened during the chiropractic adjustment.  Noise is a byproduct; reducing or eliminating pain, and restoring functional motion is the goal with chiropractic care.
